If this is your first time hearing about The Blind Date Game, here's a basic rundown:
The Blind Date Game is a simple adult game about going on dates with randomly generated girls. In the final game, you'll generate or load a cute girl and go on a series of dates with her with the endgame being a lovemaking scene.
I've been working on this project since the release of Date an Otter, and I'm pretty happy with my jump to 3D so far. All my previous projects (except for Meet the Girls) were built using Ren.Py, but this is my first full Godot game. I took some time a while experimenting with Unity and Unreal, but I really didn't enjoy either workflow very much. Godot happens to work best for me, so I'll be using it for the foreseeable future.
Anyway, this is not the first build of The Blind Date Game I've released. The early betas one can be found on Patreon if you are curious, but they're not my best work. The vast majority of the game has been overhauled since then and I'm much happier with the current look and feel of the project.
The current betas are Beta 0.3, which was the first build for what I've been calling the "New Look" update, and Beta 0.4, which is the current Patreon beta and second part of the "New Look" update. Beta 0.4 introduced custom date environments to the game, which you can read about here if you're a Patron.
My current development focus is on adding the sex system, which Patrons can read about here. It's coming along really well and I expect I'll have that beta out in the coming months. That release would be put out to Patrons first so that I can iron out any bugs there before releasing a public build. There's still a lot to do, so don't be surprised if there aren't any updates for a bit.
If you have any feedback for the current beta or upcoming projects, feel free to reach out to me here or in the Discord server. Critique helps a lot! Feel free to ask around the Discord for modding help as well. I'll try and help where I can.
Thanks for reading!
